Hello, kikukurina. Hope you will read this mail. I am a great fan of your LoliRock fanfiction called "Gems of Ephedia: Emerald". Not only because of interesting plot and original characters, but also because of pairings- Jodan/Mephisto is my OTP in Lolirock. But there is no updating for a few months, so I would really like to know, would you continue to write this fic and add new chapters, or you wouldn't? Hope you will do one day, because this fanfic is absolutely awesome. Best regards

Hi, thanks for writing to me and for reading my works. I really appreciate it.

As for the updating, well…I have been writing since last Nanowrimo and this year’s April Camp Nano. Honestly, I am just never satisfied with what I am writing, especially the next chapter, because I having a problem deciding from whose perspective I want to tell the story and how. I have rewritten it several times but then I go back and think it’s either dumb or cliched for one thing or another. Also, the content gets really dark with R-rated content at some points and I am trying to figure out if it is the glorification of violence or it’s justified because of the setting. The cast of minor characters keeps getting bigger and I am trying to not get carried away. Sometimes, it brings life and character to Ephedia, but then it looks like the story is meandering and it feels like a runaway train.

At this point, I might keep it all in and say ‘fuck it.’ It’s always fun to read a chapter. Plus, I have been busy with a full-time job, moving and just living in general. As more definite answer for the update, I will try to push one by the end of May.

Miraculous Kinder Surprise Egg in Canada

So I saw these at IGA. Stella and Flora are there to make the egg stand up.

Exploding with Chat Noir goodness!

There is no checklist with this, so I don’t know what Ladybug looks like or if there is more to this series.

This is a bracelet/mirror compact. There are two sides, one with the Miraculous Black Cat symbol and the other with a stylized A and the colour of Adrien’s shirt. Both sides open to reveal a mirror.

Miao!

I might buy another one to see if there’s something else like Ladybug or somebody else. Now, Stella and I are gonna eat some chocolate.

I still dream of a Huntik season three but then look at what happened to seasons 5 through 8 of Winx Club and the last two movies and I can’t help but be glad that Rainbow left Lok and the gang where they were.

If Valtor’s coming back…

If Valtor’s coming back, I do not want him to embark on a season-long quest for vengeance against the Winx Club. It’s boring and vague. It’s one of the Trix’ main motivations and a pretty awful one because it’s just a carte blanche reason for them do anything they want.

I want Valtor to go after something more tangible than having all the power in the world, looking for vengeance, looking for world domination, etc.

It probably won’t happen, but this is just such a reoccurring problem with WInx Club villains in general and I don’t want Valtor to be lumped in with Kalshara, Brafilius and Tritannus.

Making a separate post because I don’t want this to get lost in the reblogs.

I think @furrywing and @winxwannabe have proposed the best solutions to what we can do about the whitewashing. There’s no way Rainbow can’t know about the outrage whitewashing has caused. It’s been at least two years now, maybe more (when did they start using fairy couture design?). If Rainbow cared, they would’ve stopped by now. As fans, we’re very limited in what we can do, if anything.

FurryWing’s solution is to avoid whitewashing in our fan works. Fan art and fan fiction are undoubtedly a big part of the Winx fandom, and heck, some fans stay part of the fandom more for the fanwork than the canon work (*raises hand*). Winx Club’s current audience will be us in a few years, and there are already some new artists around on DA (I recently encountered a rather young one). Some of them will become creators of fanwork. By that age, they could know about Winx Club’s history and avoid whitewashing in their work if they see the fandom overall does not support it.

WinxWannabe’s solution is writing to Netflix since they host World of Winx and will host the live-action series that’s supposed to be on its way. She posted how Netflix has been influenced by customers before, so perhaps it can be done again. To my knowledge, Netflix has become one of the biggest streaming services out there, if not the biggest. While Rainbow may not care about us, they might care about Netflix since refusing to host them since that helps them reach a more international audience. Italy is Winx Club’s country of origin, but I think Winx Club would’ve been cancelled several seasons ago if they never expanded outside of Italy.

Here is Netflix’s corporate information with all of the addresses to their headquarter locations. If anyone has an idea of what we could write, feel free to add.
